We take our environmental responsibility seriously and are committed to continuous improvement across our operations. We continue to reduce environmental impacts at all stages of our operations through the thoughtful evaluation and implementation of new technologies, practices and procedures that can have the added benefit of reducing costs as well.

In 2021, we announced new ESG goals that tie directly to employee compensation. The goals include:

• Across U.S. onshore operations, eliminate routine flaring by year end and reduce our overall flaring intensity to less than 1% of the gas we produce in 2021.
• Limit freshwater consumption in the U.S. to less than 20% of total water use.
